Tokyo Suberi – Hang Time
The Tokyo Suberi wasn't designed to reinvent the traditional longboard. It was designed to celebrate everything that makes classic logging timeless, while refining one of the most important aspects of traditional nose riding — keeping the tail planted deep in the pocket.
Graceful trim, committed noserides and flowing rail turns remain at the heart of the Suberi, but the board's ability to stay engaged with the wave as you move forward is what sets it apart. The deeply planted tail provides the hold and control to keep the board locked into the pocket, giving you the confidence to walk forward, settle onto the nose and stay there.
Rather than chasing modern trends, the Suberi rewards patience, positioning and style. Every element of the design works towards creating that connection between surfer, board and wave — smooth footwork, effortless trim and those magical moments when everything slows down and you find yourself exactly where you want to be.
Traditional in appearance yet surprisingly versatile, the Suberi feels equally at home gliding across peeling point waves, clean beach breaks and perfectly shaped reefs. It isn't a board that demands aggression. It rewards rhythm, balance and flow.
Hang time isn't measured in seconds. It's measured in the feeling that you've found exactly the right place on the wave.
Designed for surfers who appreciate classic longboarding, the Suberi delivers effortless paddle power, beautiful trim and the confidence to explore every inch of the board.
Design Philosophy:
Great longboards aren't defined by how many manoeuvres they perform. They're defined by how they make a wave feel.
The Suberi embraces that philosophy.
Its beautifully balanced outline, subtle rocker and refined rail profile combine to create a board that trims effortlessly, carries speed naturally and remains beautifully composed whether you're stepping back into a sweeping cutback or confidently walking towards the nose.
Rather than modernising a timeless design, we focused on refining every detail until the board simply disappears beneath your feet, allowing you to concentrate on nothing more than reading the wave.
The best noserides don't feel forced, they simply happen.

Designer's Notes:
The Suberi wasn't created to chase trends.
It was created because some of the most satisfying moments in surfing happen when everything slows down.
A perfectly trimmed bottom turn.
A smooth walk towards the nose.
That brief moment where the board feels weightless beneath your feet.
Those moments never go out of fashion.
The Suberi rewards patience, timing and clean footwork, reminding us that style will always outlast fashion.
Because sometimes the greatest performance isn't explosive. It's effortless.

Tokyo Design Philosophy:
Every Tokyo Surfboard begins as a conversation.
Ideas are sketched, prototypes are built, outlines are refined and details are questioned until every element earns its place.
We don't chase annual model releases or passing trends. Every design in the Tokyo collection exists because it solves a problem, offers a unique surfing experience or reminds us why we fell in love with surfing in the first place.
Each board is individually hand-shaped in Britain by master craftsmen using carefully selected materials and construction methods chosen for longevity rather than planned obsolescence.
We believe the most sustainable surfboard is one that remains in the water for decades, not seasons.
Tokyo Surfboards was founded on a simple belief:
Build better boards. Build fewer boards. Build boards worth keeping.
